The Bittersweet Peking Medium Double Gourd Vase is made of a unique layered glass, a complex process of blowing, carving then dipping multiple times. The wonderful deep coral orange is a special color in the Ming Dynasty, as it historically represented fire and desire, and was highly prized in the emperor's palace for its brilliance.
